How long will it take to receive my journal?
Each Still Speaking™ Heirloom Journal is custom crafted just for you. Current production time is approximately 2 weeks before shipping. Once your journal is finished, you’ll receive tracking information so you can follow its journey to you.
Can I send you a journal I already have, to be installed in a Still Speaking™ case?
Yes. You may send a journal you already own to be installed inside a Still Speaking™ heirloom cover, as long as it fits within our size range (generally 7" x 9" or 8" x 10", hardbound preferred). After you place your order, you’ll receive instructions on where to ship your journal. You’ll be responsible for shipping it to me, and I recommend using a tracked, insured service.
Are the journals refillable? Can I replace the inside book later?
These journals are designed as heirloom keepsakes, with the book permanently installed into the fabric-covered case. They are not refillable like a binder system. The intention is that once this journal is full, it becomes a keepsake and you may begin a new Still Speaking™ journal for the next season of your story.
Can I order a journal without a monogram?
Yes. While monograms are a beautiful part of Still Speaking™ journals, they are optional. You may choose to leave your journal unmonogrammed for a more minimal look or for situations where you’d like the focus to be on the fabric and forward.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Because every Still Speaking™ journal is custom made to your selections, returns and exchanges are generally not available. However, if there is a problem with craftsmanship or your order arrives damaged, please contact me within a reasonable time frame so we can make it right.
I don’t know what to choose. Can you help me design my journal?
Yes, I would be happy to help you. If decisions feel overwhelming, I can guide you through each step—or even design the journal for you based on a few details about the person and the occasion.
However, if this is a gift from you, I always encourage you to be part of the choices. The way you see the person—the colors you think of, the style you know they’d love, the words you choose—that is the most beautiful part of the journal. When they open it, you’ll be able to smile and say, “I chose that for you.”
What if I don’t like the textiles you’re offering and have another fabric I’d prefer to use for my heirloom journal?
I would be honored to work with a fabric you’ve personally chosen. As long as the textile is suitable for bookbinding (upholstery or decorator weight is ideal), I will gladly accommodate it.
You’ll simply follow the same process used for sending a pre-existing journal: place your order, select the “customer-supplied fabric” option, and I’ll send you instructions for mailing your fabric to my studio. Once it arrives, I will carefully inspect, prepare, and install it on your heirloom journal so your piece truly reflects your taste and story.
I don’t know what to write for the forward. Can you help?
Absolutely. If you’re unsure what to write, you may select the option to use a Still Speaking™ Forward—a pre-written, heartfelt message that honors the value of the recipient’s life, wisdom, and story. You may also select “No forward” if you prefer to leave that space blank or write in it by hand later.
How do I submit my forward after I order?
After checkout, you’ll be directed to a page where you can type or upload your forward, using the same name and email you used at checkout. You’ll also have the option to mark “Use Still Speaking Forward” or “No forward” if you’re not writing your own.
What size should I choose—Keepsake or Legacy?
The Keepsake Journal (7" x 9") is a more intimate size—perfect for daily reflections, prayers, and shorter entries.
The Legacy Journal (8" x 10") offers more space for longer stories, family history, and entries you intend to pass down. Both are crafted with the same heirloom-quality fabrics and construction; the choice simply depends on how much room your words and keepsakes need.
Do you offer custom monogram designs or special requests?
Yes. You may choose from single-letter, full-name, and interlocking monogram styles, including specially licensed designs from Anamored. If you don’t see your initials or style in the options provided, you can submit a request, and I will let you know what is possible for your specific journal.
Can I rush my order?
Because each journal is handcrafted and prayed over, I work at a careful, steady pace. Occasionally, I may be able to accommodate a rush request for a specific date (such as a wedding, graduation, or memorial). If you need your journal sooner than the stated production time, please contact me before ordering, and I’ll let you know what is realistically possible.
Will I see a draft before you stitch my journal?
Yes. Once you place your order, I will create a rough digital draft of your chosen monogram, font, and layout so you can see how everything will look together. You’ll be able to confirm spelling, initial order, and overall style before I begin stitching.
How long does it take to receive my draft?
Drafts are typically emailed within 24 hours on business days. During holidays or high-volume seasons, please allow up to 2 business days. If you need your order sooner, you’re always welcome to contact me before ordering to confirm timing.
